Our topic this month is: Planting Native Plants: Best practices for planting shrubs, perennials, and trees. This workshop will guide you through planting BMPs (best management practices"). It addresses recommended transplanting practices of trees and shrubs for successful establishment. Our expert speaker features: Mina Vescera. Since 2013, Mina Vescera has been the Nursery and Landscape Specialist for Cornell Cooperative Extension of Suffolk County. She serves horticultural professionals by coordinating educational programming, conducting applied research, and assisting with plant diagnostics. Mina loves to foster appreciation for plants and to share her passion for growing and caring for plants.
