Winter seed sowing is a way to get a jump start on the growing season by taking advantage of a seed's natural inclination to germinate when the conditions are right.
It is done in the middle of winter in containers that are placed outdoors.
The best part - no expensive equipment or prior seed-starting experience is needed.
