Programs in the Mid Suffolk
Winter Sowing Library Talk in centereach & Bellport
Winter sowing is an inexpensive and easy way to grow healthy plants from seed. By participating in this program people, ages 14 and older, were able to go into depth about the technique of winter sowing! Furthermore, using a gallon milk jug and waterproof bag participants were able to create a mini-greenhouse filled with native plant seeds!
Winter Walks
Get outside and view the beautiful world around you! Located in the Bayard Cutting Arboretum you can experience the great outdoors and get closer to nature! Participants enjoyed leisurely walks and tours around the garden while also learning how to maintain one.
