Community Gardens – we’ve collaborated with local groups to plant more than 30 sustainable gardens from Queens to Montauk, so far…
Summer Program to Fight Hunger and Climate Change – over 300 high school students have participated in environmental internships, becoming active environmental stewards and community organizers
Native to Long Island – we’re labeling native plants at nurseries across Long Island to grow gardeners’ awareness of these plants and their importance and to help guide their purchases
Compost Crew – we’re transforming food scraps into precious soil food to grow healthy vegetables and pollinator gardens as well as helping the earth by diverting greenhouse gas-producing items our waste stream
Native Plant Sales – we give gardeners access to well-priced native plants, grasses and shrubs each spring and fall
Library and Public Talks (in person) and the Speakers and Gardeners Workshop (online) – our educational outreach shares sustainable gardening techniques with beginner to advanced gardeners
