This Earth Day, learn how to cultivate beauty and nature in your own backyard through a sustainable land care panel discussion followed by an information fair.
First, hear from landscaping professionals and environmental experts in a panel discussion-covering topics including nature-based lawn care, lawn alternatives, supporting wildlife with native plants, ticks and pest management, and compost.
Next, join an "Ask Me About" information fair: learn more about nature-based practices (including how to get monetary rebates) and take home literature from environmental organizations including ReWild Long Island, ReWild / East Hampton Compost, Cornell Cooperative Extension Master Gardener, ChangeHampton, Peconic Estuary Partnership, Suffolk Alliance for Pollinators, Peconic Land Trust, and Suffolk County Water Authority.
Discover the many nature-based landscaping resources available to Long Island residents, and talk with seasoned experts about your own gardening challenges.
