Location: Sands Point Preserve
Celebrate Earth Day with Sands Point Preserve and ReWild Long Island on Saturday, April 20th 2-5pm at Castle Gould, located in Sands Point, NY.
Agenda (In progress):
Be inspired by Mary Reynolds
Hear from local rewilders including our youth organizers and community gardens recipients
Mingle, meet, learn & share
(Optional) Walk the beautiful preserve
Learn about rewilding and how you can restore native plant communities in your backyard from Mary Reynolds, best-selling author of “The Garden Awakening” and “We are the ARK.” The youngest woman to win the prestigious Chelsea Flower Show in 2002, Mary now refers to herself as a reformed landscape designer and nature activist.
You will also meet and hear from youth organizers working on the Summer Program to Fight Hunger and Climate Change as well as fellow rewilders working on the Community Gardens Program.
Last but not least, you’ll network with influential activists and immerse yourself in the Preserve’s beautifully rewilded areas with an optional walk at 4:15 PM led by a native garden expert.
Admission to this event is free of charge! Reserve your free spot! Space is limited. Standard Sands Point Preserve parking rates of $15/vehicle still apply.
This event is brought to you by The Sands Point Preserve Conservancy and ReWild Long Island
