If this is your first time shopping with ReWild, we’re glad you’ve joined us to support biodiversity on Long Island. If you’ve shopped with us before, welcome back!
If you’re on a smartphone, rotate it to landscape view (so the long side is up). You can then see the Shopping Cart on the top right. (You will NOT see the Shopping Cart if you hold the smartphone with the short side up.)
Please keep in mind:
We are a volunteer-run, non-profit group so your support goes directly to projects that promote and protect biodiversity on Long Island.
We distribute small, well-priced plants. Most plants are under a quart, and none are larger than 5 gallons. This is because we want to offer plants that are affordable for all; moving big plants is expensive and labor-intensive. The good news is that small plants + time = big plants.
STOCKING POLICY: Our goal is to offer plants to you and minimize your frustration of not getting your favorite plant, while balancing many complicated factors on the backend:
We list a wide variety of plants on the website, but understandably, cannot “block” very large numbers of each variety at the nursery.
As people buy plants on our page, we do run out of specific varieties. Nurseries have rapidly changing stock levels and sometimes run out of stock within a few days! As we don’t want to disappoint you at a later date, we usually check with the nusery before restocking the website.
We try to restock all the low and depleted varieties once a week so that it minimizes the work for our volunteers, as well as our very busy nursery partners.
If you need a particular variety in a large quantity, you can always let us know in advance so we make special arrangements for you. Alternatively, you can shop on the first day of the sale when everything is available, or get there early on a subsequent restocking day (assuming the nursery has not run out).
Deeply appreciate your understanding how this process works, and checking back on the next restocking day for your items.
Plants can be ordered until midnight on Sep 24, 2023. You cannot change your order after that time and all sales are final. There are no returns or refunds unless we are unable to fulfill your order. To keep prices low, we order plants only to fill orders.
All payments are made on the website, via PayPal or credit card.
We cannot hold plants past the pickup dates indicated. If you can’t make the pickup dates, please make alternate arrangements with friends. Leftover plants are gratefully accepted as donations to community spaces.
Each plant in the sale has been listed as available by our nursery sources. However, nurseries sometimes run out of stock. We will do our best to fulfill your order. If we are unsuccessful, we will refund that portion of your money by check before Nov 5, 2023 after the pickups are done.
We measure our performance by the number of happy butterflies (and bees and birds...)
We want you to succeed in planting natives that promote biodiversity and support pollinators
If we mess up, we’ll do our best to fix it

Important Information About Plant Sizes
Plants Need love
When they first arrive, our plants are not going to look as gorgeous as the photos in the gallery. With love, care and a little luck, you will have a brilliant explosion of color in your yard with a myriad of buzzing bees.
Depending on your patience and skill, you may want to select:
PLUGS: Super-small plants that have been raised for several weeks. They come in plug-trays and are available in 4- or 5-packs. An xSmall 5-pack is a set of 5 baby plants. They offer great value, but they want to be planted right away and require the most patience.
SMALL PLANTS: They typically come in pots smaller than 1 quart. They will grow into full plants in two seasons. These toddlers offer great value, but not instant gratification.
MEDIUM PLANTS: Between 1 quart and 1 gallon in size, these plants are a few months old. They generally grow into full plants over the course of one season. There is no instant gratification with these teenagers, though they can surprise you.
LARGE PLANTS: These nearly full-sized plants are 1 gallon or larger and they should flower in the coming season. If you are looking for near-term results, these plants are your best choice.
These plants go dormant in Winter and come back in Spring - please mark the spots so you don’t weed them out by mistake.
A note about bloom times: In each plant description, the numbers after the word “Bloom” refer to the months in which it blooms. For example, Bloom: 5 6 means the plant blooms in May and June.
